400 companies from 26 countries took part in the International exhibition “FlowersExpo’2016” held in the International Exhibition Center “Crocus Expo”, 13-15 September. Over three exhibition days it was visited by 16 700 people from 198 Russian towns and cities and 35 foreign countries.

 

Despite all economic and political difficulties and the ongoing crisis the venue of “FlowersExpo” was again chosen by the largest local and international producers, breeders and operators of the world flower market.

 

Displayed in the exhibition halls there were products of all “green  sector” including cut and pot flowers, seeds and nursery planting stock, equipment and  technological developments for greenhouses and garden centers, breeding novelties, products for flower arrangement and landscape design, modern   Internet technology and logistics services.

 

Russian companies, the project hosts, arrived from many Russian regions, pleased exhibition visitors with their displays. Flowers produced by local flower growers from Kaluga, Penza, Udmurtia, St. Petersburg, Republic of Adygea and Moscow region were not inferior in beauty and quality to the imported ones.

 

A lot of large national seed companies, new local flower market operators and   floristic products suppliers joined the ranks of exhibitors.

 

International participants also tried to present themselves and their products in the most effective way.

 

National pavilions of Holland, Colombia, Ecuador, Germany, France and Japan, the largest producers of the world flower market, were extremely popular at the exhibition.

 

Very interesting exhibits were presented by England, Byelorussia, Vietnam, Denmark, Israel, Italy, Kenya, China, Kazakhstan, UAE, Poland, the USA, Finland and Ethiopia.

 

Flower growers of Iran, Serbia, Thailand and Chile took part in the exhibition for the first time.

 

Breeding novelties were presented by the leading world’s breeding companies: Rosen Tantau, Kordes Rosen (Germany), Meilland, NIRP International, Cayeux , Sauve-Guitte, Renault (France), Floritec, Deliflor Chrysanten и Dekker Chrysanten – Holland and others.

 

The exhibition featured a wider display of nursery products. A collection of wonderful planting stock was demonstrated by about 60 nurseries from Russia and European countries including England, Italy, Holland, Germany, Belgium, France, Byelorussia and Finland. Of special interest there were seasonal novelties: new plant varieties and species displayed in the collective display of the Union of Polish Nurserymen.

 

Among exhibition participants there were developers and manufacturers of equipment and machinery for greenhouse complexes from Russia, Holland, Germany, Belgium, France and other countries.  

 

Exhibition halls were filled with business and friendly communication those days. And “FlowersExpo’2016” again confirmed its reputation of an important business center for the “green” sector professionals.  Seminars, presentations, conferences and master classes were in store for specialists. Where else if not at the exhibition one can learn about the world’s breeding novelties, garden centers of the future or prospects of the Russian flower market.

 

Trade representatives of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of the Netherlands arrived to the exhibition to discuss cooperation between Russia and the Netherlands.  Governmental agencies of Russia and Holland and many interested exhibition participants took part in the discussion.

 

John Stenly, one of the top world’s garden centers experts, arrived to Moscow from faraway Australia to share his ideas and forecasts.

 

In the frameworks of the exhibition there was held a landmark event, the Russian Championship on Professional Floristics, “Russian Cup.2016”. Vitaly Pyatakov (St. Petersburg) won the first place and the title of Champion of Russia, Anna Popova (Moscow) was awarded second place, Olga Kazantseva (town of Plast, Chelyabinsk region) took third place.

 

Master classes and floral shows conducted by the known designers from Russia, Holland, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Finland and other countries were held non-stop during all exhibition days on its main stage.

 

All together about 4 000 specialists took part in the business program events.

 

Much interest was aroused by the exhibition competition program. 80 companies including 22 Russian and 58 international ones were awarded gold medals for high quality of products and novelties.

 

The project relevance was confirmed by the exhibition visitors who came from all Russian regions, 198 cities and towns of the country. 70% of them were businessmen, distributors, buyers, owners of companies and enterprises.

 

This is an optimistic sign: despite the crisis Russian flower market is stabilizing!

 

Foreign guests arriving to the exhibition from Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Iran, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Peru, Poland, Serbia, Holland, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Byelorussia, England, Germany,   Georgia, Denmark, Kazakhstan, Canada,  China, Kirgizia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, UAE, Paraguay, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Cyprus, Uzbekistan and Spain showed  their great interest in the  promising Russian market.

 

 The main result of “FlowersExpo’2016” is its high effectiveness.

 

The exhibition met the expectations of its participants. They were able to effectively present their products, to understand the market demands in changing circumstances, to find new suppliers, customers and reliable business partners.

 

Russian and international exhibitors highly appreciated business and professional competence of “FlowersExpo” and confirmed the significance of the project for their business development and their desire to retain their positions on the capacious Russian market.

 

“FlowersExpo”, the main Russian show on flower industry, aroused great interest of the professional community and brought positive sentiment to its participates and  visitors.
