A team of Russian scientists and developers AIRIS offers a microalgae-filled bubble column (photobioreactor) – a biological air purifier.

The AIRIS biological air purifier, filled with live microalgae, is designed to effectively remove carbon dioxide and other harmful substances from the air, as well as generate oxygen. Designed as a stylish bubble column, the AIRIS biological air purifier creates a truly "green" environment.

One bubble column with microalgae, occupying an area of no more than 0.1 m2, continuously produces as much oxygen as one adult tree during the period of maximum leaf mass gain. A specially selected strain of Chlorella microalgae is used, adapted to efficiently absorb carbon dioxide and produce bio-oxygen.
