Rumi Flowers, located on equator at the base of Longonot Mountain at an altitude of 2,000 meters in Naivasha, Kenya, is a new venture dedicated to growing and exporting premium roses. A dream at 21, the company was founded by Akshat Shah, a young and passionate entrepreneur from India. The company was born from his deep love for roses and a desire to learn by doing rather than through formal education. The first commercial sale of Farm started in February 2025.
Rumi Flowers is 10 hectres farm currently which grows 14 commerical varieties of cut roses mainly premium and garden spray roses. In July 2026, the farm is undergoing expansion of another 5 hectres and adding 15 varieties venturing into premium scented and garden scented spray roses and single head roses.
The company considers the welfare of its employees and the neighbouring communities to be part of its strength. Rumi’s good practices ensure that we mitigate potential negative impacts on the environment. Like farms around the world, this is the place that Mr. Akshat calls home, and, as such, is so much more than just a business.
