Russian flower growers have a hot time on the eve of International Women's Day on March 8th. This year, the preparation is especially intense. Floriculture was among the sectors of the economy most affected by the coronavirus pandemic. In addition, the supply of flowers from foreign suppliers has decreased.
Whereas many exhibitions in Europe are being cancelled, the FlowersExpo in Moscow, Russia continued. Last week, from September 8-10 the Crosus Expo in Moscow opened its doors. Of course, with less international exhibitors, the exhibition was different from past editions, but still there was a lot to see, both on the exhibition floor as well as online.
FlowersExpo in Moscow, Russia, is in full swing. At first glance, it does not seem to differ that much from previous years - over 4,000 visitors yesterday - but this year, there are hardly any foreigners. Therefore, also less booths and visitors. However with an online format, the exhibition still enables the international audience to participate in the even.

Important! The online format in an active mode (meetings, negotiations) runs until September 15. In a passive format, the online platform will operate and introduce participants and their products until September 2021.

March and April were tough months with lower demand, but from May onwards, the demand for flowers and in particular locally produced flowers started to increase.
