FlowersExpo’2015: Results and Prospects

 

The main International exhibition of the year “FlowesrExpo’2015” successfully held in September in the most modern Moscow International Exhibition Complex “Crocus Expo” has attracted great attention of the professional community of Russia and foreign countries.

 

In spite of all difficulties of the year the venue of “FlowersExpo” was again chosen by the largest local and international producers.

 

400 companies from 23 countries including Russia, England, Byelorussia, Belgium, Germany, Holland, Denmark, Israel, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kenya, China, Colombia, Lithuania, UAE, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine, Finland, France, Ecuador, and Japan took part in the exhibition.

 

Participants presented all products of the “green”| sector: cut flowers, pot plants, seeds and planting stock, nursery products, machinery and equipment for greenhouse production and garden construction, accessories and products for floristics and design.

Equipment and – 12 %.

 

Over three days the exhibition was visited by 15 000 people including representatives from 75 administrative and federal districts of Russia, from cities and small towns: from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Vladivostok in the east to Kaliningrad in the west; from Arkhangelsk, Mu

 

Foreign guests arrived from 35 countries: Holland, Ecuador, Colombia, Poland, Denmark, Belgium, Germany, Israel, Czech Republic, Slovenia, France, Italy, Spain, Byelorussia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, China, the USA, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kenya, Armenia, Kirgizia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Moldova, Finland, Taiwan, India, UAE and Japan.

 

Participants noted a high business and professional level of thousands of exhibition visitors.

Cut and pot flowers: 55 %
Nursery products, landscape design: 20%
Equipment and technology: 12%
Floristics and design: 13%.

 

Excellent products were demonstrated by Russian producers from Penza, Kaluga, Belgorod, St. Petersburg, Moscow region and Krasnodar, the hosts of the exhibition.

 

National displays of Holland, Colombia, Ecuador, the major players of the world flower market, were distinguished by their size. Flower growers from Japan demonstrated their floral products the second year running. India was a debutant of the exhibition.

 

Germany with its National Pavilion premiered this year.

 

 

Russia, Belgium, Byelorussia, Germany, Holland, Denmark, Poland and Finland displayed nursery products.

 

 

Exhibition competition program draw much attention. Over 150 companies took part in the competition. 80 companies were awarded medals “Winner in Exhibition 2015” for high quality of products and novelties.

 

 

Extensive exhibition business program included conferences, seminars, presentations and numerous floral shows.

 

 

There was also held the annual Open Russian Championship on Professional Floristics. Artem Salmin (“Royal Greenhouses”, Moscow) was the winner of the Championship this year.

 

 

About 4 000 people took part in the exhibition business events.

 

The main outcome of “FlowersExpo’2015” is goods results obtained by the participants. Russian and international exhibitors highly appreciated its business standing and professional competence.

 

The exhibition gave them a chance to effectively present their products, to understand the market demands in changing circumstances, and most importantly, to expand their business, to find new suppliers and consumers, and reliable business partners.
