The main International exhibition of the year of the Russian green sector “FlowersExpo’2015” successfully held in September in the International Exhibition Complex “Crocus Expo” attracted great attention of the professional community of Russia and overseas countries.

 

In spite of all difficulties of the current year the largest local and international producers again chose the venue of “FlowersExpo”.

 

400 companies from 23 countries including Russia, England, Byelorussia, Belgium, Germany, Holland, Denmark, Israel, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kenya, China, Colombia, Lithuania, UAE, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine, Finland, France, Ecuador and Japan took part in the exhibition.

 

Participants presented all products of the “green” sector there: cut flowers, pot plants, seeds and planting stock, nursery products, technology and equipment for the greenhouse sector and garden construction, accessories for floristics and landscape design, IT and logistics.

 

Over three exhibition days it was visited by 15 000 people including representatives from 75 administrative federal districts of Russia, towns and cities. Foreign guests arrived to the exhibition from 35 countries.

 

Participants noted a high professional level of thousands of visitors, 45 % of them being decision makers.

 

Remarkable products were displayed by its hosts. They were Russian producers from Penza, Kaluga, Belgorod, St. Petersburg, Moscow region, Krasnodar and other cities, leading wholesale companies and operators of the Russian flower market.

 

Ecuador, the main suppliers of roses, the queen of flowers, was a leader this season.

 

The Netherlands were not inferior. They presented not only cut flowers but also nursery products, breeding novelties, technological equipment and floristic accessories.

 

Colombian flower growers pleased the visitors with their beautiful novelties. Their motto was “Colombia, Land of Flowers”.
Japanese growers presented their floral products for the second year running. India was a newcomer at the exhibition.

 

Germany premiered at the exhibition with its National Pavilion.

 

Other flower producing countries, England, France, Israel, Denmark, UAE, Kenya, Poland, Turkey also demonstrated interesting displays.

 

There were many breeding novelties from the leading breeding companies of England, Holland, Germany, France, Denmark and Israel.

 

Nursery Products section was considerably enlarged. Elite planting stock was presented by nurserymen of Russia, Belgium, Byelorussia, Germany, Holland, Denmark, Poland and Finland.

 

Developers and manufacturers of equipment and machinery for greenhouse complexes pleased the visitors with their novelties. Exhibits for this section were presented by Russian, Dutch, German, Belgian, Danish, Italian and French companies.

 

Exhibition Halls these September days were filled with business and companionship. Specialists participated in seminars, presentations, conferences and round tables.

 

An extensive business program included numerous floral shows and master classes, presentations. During all exhibition days there were non-stop floral and fashion shows organized by famous Russian and foreign florists demonstrating high floral fashion “Haute Couture”.

 

In the frameworks of the exhibition there was organized the Open Russian Championship on Professional Floristics. The winner was Artem Salmin (“Royal Greenhouses”, Moscow).

 

ОOver 4 000 people took part in the events of the exhibition business program.

 

Competition program aroused great interest. Over 150 companies participated in the competition. 80 companies were awarded exhibition medals for high quality of products and presented novelties.

 

The main outcome of «FlowersExpo-2015" is good results, obtained by the participants. Russian and foreign exhibitors praised its reputation and professional competence.

 

The exhibition enabled them to effectively present their products, to understand the market demand in the changed circumstances, and, most importantly, to expand business, to find new suppliers, customers and reliable business partners.

 

“FlowersExpo’2015” is not only a large and successful business forum but also a real flower festival and a wonderful gift for the “green" sector professionals and all lovers of flowers.
