Successful Start of “RussianSkills’2011” Championship

The National Guild of Florists jointly with “FlowersExpo” Organizing Committee held an Open Russian Championship among Floristic Schools “RussianSkills’2011” under the motto   “Actress Autumn”. 

More and more educational centers training florists are being opened in Russia today. They are schools, courses and even   academies. The Championship helped to show their potential.

Great support in organization and holding of the Championship was rendered by "Starlight Cash&Carry", general sponsor and “Flowers” magazine, information sponsor.  Companies “Eurasian Alliance”, "Smithers Oasis" and “Floriculture” magazine also sponsored the Championship.

The winners of the first in the history of Russian floristics   Championship among Floristic Schools are:

Flower Gymnasium “Master” (St. Petersburg) – the first place;

Ural School of Floristics and Design (Yekaterinburg) – the second place;

Floristic School “East-West” (Moscow) - the third place.

Nizhegorodskiy Center of Floristics (Nizhniy Novgorod) was awarded a special prize of the Jury.

The Championship will help to draw attention to a very important issue of the flower business – professional training of Russian florists; and in the long time to prepare our national floristic schools for successful participation in pan-European Competition among Floristic Schools «EuroSkills».
